Contemporary geometric abstraction art has a dominant form in the world of art. Angles, dimension, scale, and mechanical viewpoint is the mindset.
Geometric art examples used are Squares, triangles, rectangles, and other complex straight-edged shapes.
These forms are paramount in creating this style of sculpture art.
Organic shapes flow and have no visual boundaries. Organic shapes have a natural flow.
As an artist, why do I use geometric shapes?
I always enjoyed modern and postmodern architecture, with its straight-edged designs and radical move against the traditional.
Was it always practical? Most likely not. To use impractical went against the norm and became different and unique.
Geometric abstraction represents the past, future, and in-between.
And because of its characteristics and style must relate to the viewer in its way of communication. What that indicates is the story it tells one person will probably be completely different from another person.
